Responsible for ensuring compliance with our customer's requirements and ensures that our products meet the customer's and TMF's quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for communicating with supervisors, managers and other department personnel about Quality issues.
Program, measure and maintain CMM Develop and maintain statistical data, control charts and product specifications.
Create, implement, and maintain inspection procedures and work instructions.
Support Q.
C Inspectors during startups and new projects.
Must be able to detect defects and its source.
Support Quality Inspectors to determine if product is non-conforming.
Assist in containing questionable material and in coordinating held ware and rework processes.
General knowledge of AQL and inspection plans.
Must be able to prepare specialized documents such as work instructions and quality alerts.
Develop and maintain scrap reports and other reports as required.
Must be adept in the use and maintenance of the of equipment in the Metrology Lab.
Work closely with in-house Project Management and support Customer's dimensional, performance and cosmetic standards.
Perform dimensional checks, FAI (First Article Inspection) PPAPs and CAP Studies etc.
to support customer needs.
Maintain work area and test samples in a clean and orderly fashion.
Cover for vacations as needed.
All other duties as required by the Quality Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Strong metrology skills.
Adept with various machines and log maintenance Bilingual (English/Spanish) a strong plus Must be able to interpret product drawings Proficient in MS Windows Suite Detail oriented Strong collaboration and communication skills Strong 3D-CMM skills and knowledge EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent 2-3 year's Quality experience within a manufacturing environment PHYSICAL DEMANDS Requires walking, primarily on a level surface throughout the day.
May need to climb stairs/steps periodically.
May need to reach above shoulder heights and below the waist.
Lifting as required with proper lifting techniques up to 50 pounds on occasion.
WORKING CONDITIONS This position requires work in a factory setting and office environment where the use of personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes are mandated.
Noise levels and temperatures may vary.
There is some exposure to dust and fumes from molten plastic resins.
Travel may be required as needed.
