8K a year 2 days ago 2 days ago 2 days ago POSITION SUMMARY The A/R Associate will be responsible for assisting the A/R Team in the collection functions for Durable Medical Equipment for all primary and secondary payers whether it is Commercial, Managed Care, Medicaid or Medicare.
Daily task are assigned by A/R Manager and include research, running reports, updating spreadsheets, faxing and making follow-up calls to necessary insurance companies.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Multi-tasks in various computer applications to gather billing and collection information to perform collections.
Performs follow up as necessary and re-bills according to collection policy.
Verifies outstanding account balances.
Pulls EOB reports.
Enters call back notes into appropriate databases for future collection efforts and inter-departmental communications.
Raises awareness on denial trends to management, with supporting data.
Raises awareness on pricing trends to management (short pays), with supporting data.
Reconciles open accounts to clearly establish patient responsibility.
Performs related duties as required or as assigned by supervisor.
Works closely with other departments to ensure reimbursement of claims.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent 1-2 years experience in Medical Billing/Collections Current knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines for billing and collections Working understanding of Medicaid, Medicare and Insurance billing, including coordination of benefits and the appeals process for re-determinations Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem solving and time management Excellent data entry with high degree of accuracy Ability to handle high volume of work efficiently Ability to work well in a team environment and to communicate within a team environment HOVEROUND EMPLOYEE BENEFITS At Hoveround we strive to support our employees' health, wealth and wellness through our comprehensive benefits package.
