Summary:
The Account Director is responsible for establishing a strategic vision for both internal and client teams.
A key leader of the Account Services team, the Account Director is invested in the professional success of each team member, the financial success and growth of their book of business, and the health and strength of relationships built within their portfolio of accounts.
The Account Director is responsible for ensuring the Account Services team members who report to them are meeting and exceeding expectations.
The position is responsible for delivering innovative programs, personnel development and strong financial management to meet forecasted goals.
Account Directors have visibility into cross-functional operations and are therefore also responsible for the success of cross-team projects.

Responsibilities:
Represent Miles at-large, at industry and client meetings and events.
Remain in consistent communication with Vice President about opportunities, issues and ideas.
Present with authority at client and industry events and meetings.
Utilize strong interpersonal skills and exhibit curiosity to question current processes, willingness to challenge the status quo and engage in productive feedback conversations within and outside their team/division.
Demonstrate knowledge to apply industry trends, insights, research and data to client strategy.
Responsible for financial performance via reports on monthly forecasting and revenue reviews, managing aging reports and ensuring accuracy in all reporting.
Hands-on understanding of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats within their book of business.
Anticipate and respond to client RFPs via established processes with the New Business team, consulting subject-matter experts as applicable.
Conduct contract negotiations with clients, while considering the needs and abilities of the Miles team, to create mutually beneficial agreements.
Includes building proforma, understanding P/L and engaging key stakeholders throughout the process.
Build intentional, genuine relationships with key senior clients to establish trust and partnership.
Lead strategic-planning efforts with clients, building a framework to solve complex problems through a holistic approach to solution development.
Manage and lead an account team, onboard new employees, identifying new skillsets and perspectives that can contribute to growing accounts.
Collaborate with the team to ensure internal processes are being followed by all team members and quality products are being delivered to exceed clients' expectations.
REQUIREMENTS:

years of direct marketing/advertising leadership with clients.
Demonstrated account-service leader with history of expanding responsibilities.
Strong ability to build and foster relationships independently.
Strong knowledge of the travel and tourism industry.
Advanced understanding of, and continual self-education on, marketing best practices.
Excellent communication skills, including internal and external presentations.
Demonstrated understanding of financial management and strategy.
Ability to travel for client meetings and industry conferences.
Strong understanding of B2C and B2B marketing principles.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and managerial skills.
