Salary Range:
$60,000 - $65,000 Role of Assistant:
Works with the Golf Course Superintendent and other department heads to plan daily maintenance activities.
Develop strong working relationships with the departments throughout club to enhance the overall member experience Data Collection Tournament Preparation Assist in routine maintenance, irrigation repair, tournaments, and special projects as directed.
Operate the golf course irrigation system, and record keeping of the water usage Maintain accurate records related to fertilizer and chemical applications Directly supervise department employees, including training, work assignments, performance appraisal, and conflict resolution.
Monitor the daily progress of employees and adjust tasks as needed for efficient time management.
Meet with department head to plan and discuss weekly plans.
Assists in golf course preparation during seasonal months including mowing, spraying, and course set-up.
Responsible for the completion of the cultural practices schedule during the summer months.
Assists in the completion of projects on the Golf Course, Grounds, and clubhouse areas, and oversees contractors during summer projects.
Active listener, team player, and willing to learn new skills, ideas, and procedures in a diverse environment A long-term goal is to be a Golf Course Superintendent Good communicator Ability to train multicultural staff Lead by example Self-aware, and able to identify where they need to grow and improve both personally and professionally.
Prefer at least 4 years.
of experience in golf course maintenance, turf and grounds maintenance, or equivalent combination of related education and/or experience.
