- Inspect floors for damage or wear and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
Monitors the facility with a critical eye to catch those items that need cleaning and attention.
Uses cleaning supplies and equipment as regulated to provide a safe cleaning environment.
Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
- Groundskeeper duties will be responsible for general maintenance work and maintaining the cleanliness of the common areas on exterior of the property.
Responsibilities:
Ensure property appearance meets or exceeds Manatee Memorial Hospital standards at all times.
Must be proficient at operating a Power Washer and Chemicals.
Performs regular groundskeeper duties around the property.
Complete grounds work as directed by Environmental Services Director and Managers which may include picking up trash, blowing the parking area & sidewalks, removing debris, etc.
Clean dumpster areas, trash rooms, and trash chute daily.
Thoroughly clean breezeways by removing cobwebs, bugs in lights, mopping, and wiping down doors & handrails.
Assist in preparation of make-ready units.
Also may clean nursing units, surgical areas, offices, laboratory areas, waiting areas, public restrooms and other areas as assigned Requirements - Previous experience in floor care, custodial work or housekeeping preferred.
- Knowledge of different floor types and appropriate cleaning methods.
- Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Ability to operate power washer.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as needed.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred High School Graduate or Equivalent Or EVS Work experience Note:
