Director of Nursing - Private Duty Home Health
Empath Personal Care, a member of Empath Health, is currently seeking a Director of Nursing. The Director of Nursing directs and supervises clinical and paraprofessional staff rendering patient care services and maintains accountability for the coordination and quality of client care within the home health setting in accordance with applicable regulations, accepted standards of care and organizational policies.

The Director of Nursing:
- Ensures compliance with CHAP, State, Federal, and local government regulations.
- Serves as a clinical expert and provides guidance in all matters relating to the delivery of home health services to assure that quality standards are maintained.
- Maintains responsibility to ensure that clinical staff complete initial nursing assessments with clients in a timely manner and that the plan of care is appropriate to client and family needs. Coordinates necessary revisions in collaboration with community physicians.
- Provides leadership to direct reports including hiring, training, monitoring performance, coaching and preparing evaluations. Collaborates with leadership regarding Human Resources issues.
- Monitors caseloads and educates and instructs the patient, patient's family or other staff as required.
Requirements:
- Current and active RN license in the state of Florida; BSN preferred.
- Minimum of One (1) years nursing supervisory experience.
- Two (2) years of recent clinical experience in a community-based home health setting required.
- An equivalent combination of professional experience and education may be considered as meeting the educational/professional requirements.
